Dave is the Managing Director of Quantum Tuning. He started his career in the automotive industry with a four-year apprenticeship at a Ford retail dealership before joining the Jaguar specialist Swallow Motor Company where he remained for two years.
In 1984 Dave began to specialise in diagnostics and tuning at the Crypton Tuning and Dyno Centre – or Middlesex Tuning Centre as it became known – where he gained several additional qualifications.
In 1987 he became a technical service agent for Bosch, and a main dealer of Superchips Ltd. Recognising the market potential within the electronic tuning industry he incorporated Superchips London in 2001, substantially increasing the size of the operation he based in Uxbridge and becoming Superchips’ most successful dealer.
In 2007 a chance meeting with (the now recently retired) Chris Roberts led to a highly effective partnership that saw the formation of Quantum Tuning. Dave’s expertise and contacts within the industry ensured the success of the company, and its standing within the tuning market today.
Kevin started out at a Ford Main dealer as an apprentice mechanic on a YTS scheme, then progressed quite quickly to become a supervisor by the age of 19.
By the age of 22 he was the assistant Service Manager at one of Leeds's biggest Ford Dealers and then when he was 26 he went to run a Tuning Company in Batley, Yorkshire, where his interest in tuning started.
By the age of 32 Kevin decided to set up his own tuning company - VES(UK) Ltd - and was the first person in the UK to operate as a mobile remapper. Around 2015 we approached him to see if he could help with technical support at Quantum Tuning for a few days a week. Kevin liked the company so much that in April 2019 he decided to invest in the company and is now full time as the Operations Director.
Joining Quantum in 2009, Stuart oversees the running of the Quantum Files office. With a previous track record working for Tickford, Ford Research Dunton as a Gasoline Performance and Economy Engine Test Engineer, Prodrive, Beacon Technology LPG, and Superchips, Stuart has an encyclopaedic knowledge of vehicle calibration, ECU types, and tuning tools that is the backbone to the quality of files we produce.
Stuart is a Mechanical Engineer to HND level, and since 2012 has tuned 37,500 vehicles. As well as his duties with files and calibration, he is also instrumental in providing phone support to our dealer network, training the files team, and liaising with our tool suppliers.
With an extensive career in the automotive sector, Tim has been a Project Manager for Kwik Fit and Euro Car Parts. During his time at ECP he was the strategic lead for the Bosch AutoCrew network, managing a large team of consultants throughout the country; and developed and managed the Peugeot Express Fit and Castrol Express Centre initiatives.
Tim is heavily invested in workplace education and has ensured that Quantum Tuning is the only ECU tuning business that can offer IMI certification to its dealers. He looks after the business development side of our affairs, closely liaising with the existing dealers whilst recruiting new ones.
Trisha joined Quantum after having rubbed elbows in various management roles with many automotive professionals over the last 20 years, working mainly in a male dominated environment at Goodyear Tyres and Dunlop Tyres in Southern Africa; and as a Network Manager for Euro Car Parts UK.
Trisha has thrived in this space and has developed into an experienced automotive service professional who has a reputation as a no-nonsense lady. She has a can-do attitude with a passion for keeping her dealers delighted.
Trisha’s organizational skills are exemplary and it’s her energy that drives her passion for performance.
Martin started work as an apprentice technician with Ford where he gained his NVQ qualifications to become a senior technician within his seven-year tenure. He then spent six years with RJB Autocraft, specialising in the restoration of Jaguar, Rolls Royce, and Bentley classics before becoming the part-owner of Paramount Performance, concentrating on Jaguar and Aston Martin tuning.
After eight years at Paramount, Martin had a stint as an Audi technician before joining Quantum where he has been frontline support for remapping and bench tuning since 2014, putting his considerable dyno experience to good use every day. He also runs his own mobile remapping business, AVO Tuning.
Kunjan is our longest serving employee and runs our IT office based in India, having obtained a BSC(Hons) in Computing Science from Greenwich University.
Kunjan is a talented web developer, SEO and IT specialist with business analytical and programming languages skills in popular frameworks. He creates all of Quantum’s online presence and often assists our dealers with their website requirements.
Mayur is an experienced web designer with a long history of working within the computer software industry, and for Trion Pharma where he was instrumental in their online presence. An IT graduate, he is skilled in a variety of web and programming languages and internet platforms.
Mayur tests and manages our websites and carries out the traffic and search engine analysis. He also manages our social media accounts and digital marketing campaigns and maintains our e-commerce solutions.
After finishing school in Durban, Glen started working at an accounting & auditing company as a Trainee Accountant while studying part time, before fulfilling various administrative roles within the Durban City Council.
He moved to the UK with his family in 2018 where he has been with Quantum Tuning since, as a Dealer Support Assistant.
Initially joining Quantum to look after the VRM database, Brad quickly developed into a very talented and intuitive file writer who is now an essential part of the team.
Alex is a Calibration Engineer who started with us in 2013, mentored by Stuart, and during his time with Quantum his vehicle and file writing knowledge has grown significantly, progressing to become a senior file writer. Alex has always had a passion for cars and before becoming a member of the Quantum Team he studied motor vehicle maintenance at college, followed by an apprenticeship with Mercedes.
Josh joined us in 2014 as a Calibration Engineer, receiving in-depth training from Stuart. Josh has quickly progressed and now predominantly works in files development, helping Stuart to continually improve the quality of our files database.
Originally from Newport in South Wales, Paul started in the files team in 2018 under the tutelage of Stuart and the others in the department. He is based in the Cornwall office, having moved to the area in 2014 after graduating from Glamorgan University.
Terry has over ten years of experience in business management with qualifications in human resources, positive behavioural management and conflict resolution, and has spent time running his own successful catering business with his wife. He has been with Quantum since 2016.
Terry manages incoming sales enquiries, ensuring that our customers are directed to the correct dealerships, and that the process is as seamless as possible. He also has responsibilities within our aftercare and post-sales support.
Holly studied travel at college, and has qualifications in childcare and dog grooming.
Joining Quantum as the accounts administrator, she has worked closely with the directors on the daily and yearly company finances since 2011. She has witnessed and been instrumental in Quantum’s growth and success since then.
Michael started learning his trade before the turn of the century at Superchips as a talented member of the files team, with responsibility for developing new vehicle conversions as well as helping retail customers and dealers. He became the Superchips Senior Calibration engineer, finally departing after nearly eleven years to work for VAG specialist Revo Developments. There Michael concentrated on VW/Audi and Ford tuning, vastly increasing his knowledge and eventually becoming the Calibration Manager.
Michael joined Quantum in April 2019 to head up the Files department and to increase the scope of our vehicle development, as well as assist in continued training of the existing files team.
Simon graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Computer Science. He has worked in the financial sector with Citibank and in computer games with a start-up company called Games Operating Development Systems.
He seems to have found his niche in the tuning industry however and has spent the past twenty years analysing and programming ECUs for two of the leading companies in the sector.
At Quantum he is responsible for the maintenance and future development of the QFoD system.
Mike started his working life as a publican and venue operator, but an interest in cars and computers saw a change of direction into the tuning world and he became a files writer at Superchips. He then moved to Racelogic Ltd as their technical sales manager, before becoming the marketing manager where he wrote most of the copy for the company and organised their marketing activities.
At Quantum Mike looks after the development of a variety of projects and is also responsible for all the copy for the websites and marketing activities.
With over 40 years’ experience working in design agencies Ian brings a wealth of knowledge of design, print, POS and promotional products. Having worked with many blue-chip companies such as Oral-B, Gillette, and Hasbro he can take a brief from concept to finished design with speed and attention to detail.
Ian is also a professional photographer with expert Photoshop skills which have taken him abroad on many occasions to cover events.
Lyle has a wealth of software experience across a wide range of systems and applications, having fulfilled roles within product implementation, database management, problem solving, and web deployment. Lyle joins Quantum to play a part in maintaining and developing our increasingly complex back-office systems.
